Still Crazy After All These (15) Years

Today is our 15th wedding anniversary.  We also finished reading The Book of Mormon with the kids tonight for the second time.  This time only took us 3 years! (That is 1/5 of our marriage!) It goes very slowly when the kids are young, still reading those big and unfamiliar words so carefully and slowly.  And I feel like a referee through the whole 5 - 10 minute ordeal every evening.  But we did it!  Someday I'm really hoping we'll actually feel the Spirit and learn something as we read together.  Right now we're just being obedient and doing the best we can.  :)  So to celebrate our family achievement we went to get frozen custard at Freddy's.

Then we went to the mall to see Santa.  Unfortunately we are too cheap to shell out a minimum of $25 for a terrible photo with him.  So, after the kids talked with Santa we took a picture on the other side of the tree from where he was sitting. He's on the other side of that tree there.  He's wearing cowboy boots. Welcome to Texas.
There was not a single person in line to see Santa.  Is that normal? That doesn't seem normal.  What's going on here? Is visiting Santa at the mall  not a "thing" here in Texas?
So then we had Henry take a photo to document our big anniversary.
And then we kissed a little bit.  Because we're still in love and all that. We even like each other!
Our real anniversary date was a couple of weeks ago.  :)  Taylor took me to see Paul Simon in concert.  Did you know there is a concert venue about 2 miles from our house? Things like SYTYCD come through here. Cool beans.  So Paul Simon was very fun to see in concert!  That man is 71 and can still rock it!  He sounded amazing. His band was incredible.  And yes, he is quite short. We had amazing seats... 11th row, right in the middle.
Thank you for the date and for all 15 wonderful years, Taylor.  I love you so much.

YAY! I can't believe it's been 15 years! And five kids! And 3 moves! You are living life, my friend. And congrats on the BoM. I think that is quite and accomplishment and you and Taylor should be commended. I am glad you do fun things together and that you are "still crazy [for each other] after all these years." Did you like how I worked that in? Love you! Love your family!
