Gargantuan Monkey

A link to the largest fake monkey you've ever seen...just because I can. Because this is my blog. And this is how I choose to waste your time. And enliven you senses. And use incomplete sentences.

I'm just saying it's a big monkey. I mean look at the size of those eyes. As I am writing this, I am dressed in a boy scout uniform with running shoes and shorts, dark socks and a tie with a sweater around my neck. Why you might ask?Because we were going to go over to our neighbors to give them some brownies and I was not dressed. So I told Suzie to bring me something to wear and she made me promise I would wear it. That was our cheap date for the night. Sarah said I couldn't tell the neighbors, but she broke down and told them.

My favorite part of that site is the heartfelt words the monkey-maker leaves us with:

"I'd like to specially thank EVERYONE for all the peanuts, patience, help, and support in making this monkey real ."

I think that this person just might be in therapy now. . .

Wow Suzie, I never knew that I would be the pathway to a giant monkey!!

For me the best part about this is that instead of making new buttons for eyes in a smaller size, she just decided to make the monkey HUGE.

That is one crazy monkey...nice first sewing project...a 15 foot, Styrofoam packed, non-biodegradable monkey...I like it.

Oh my goodness! You must be one of the funnestestest people ever!

I want to know what happened when you got home--was the boy scout uniform a little bit of a turn-on? James would never agree to that--I commend Taylor on his adventurous spirit. I've always thought highly of him, you know...

You know miss suzie... I just keep coming back to this monkey. I love monkeys and monkey business and can't believe I missed you in Utah by days.

Enjoy your vacation.

I didn't think it would come to this... Spam in a blogger's comments!

Love the monkey! My wife and I's anniversary is comming up. That would be the PERFECT present!

Carrie Ann said...

Get thee hence, SPAM! Does anyone know how to get rid of it?

tom said...

Suzie SHOULD be able to remove the comment. There should be a trash can icon at the bottom of the comment in the 'post a comment' page.

Suzie-- When are you back from your vacation? We miss you!

That's kind of funny that you miss her and she's vacationing close to where you are. It was very fun to see you girls.

Maybe we chould use this brief sabbatical to gain full appreciation for a larger-than-life, gyrating, firemonkey like we only used to dream about.

Eww, the spam is no good!

Emily,

I was thinking about what you said and I think that Heidi needs to see this monkey. Although. . . I don't know if she would appreciate it as much now as she would have when "fire monkey" was her favorite phrase. Remember when she called my mom that?

SUZIE!

Gyrating fire monkeys aside, we need you back! At least delete those icky spam messages. Let me know you survived a 12 hour road trip with three young children.

Isn't it so interesting the the gargantuan monkey holds the record for the most comments on Suzie's blog. Are we ready to comment on something new? Hmmmm. . . I think so. . . Please rescue us from the gargantuan monkey, Suzie!!
